How to add a oven backsplash texture with the correct scale?
Step 1 --> Select item "TILE-3" from the ROOM catalog and place it where the image of the backsplash will be. **In this case where the blue rectangle is placed
Step 2 --> In another software like photoshop or the like create an image file with the desired background. The image needs to be precisely 128x128 pixels with the highest resolution possible specially if it's big in real life.
Step 3 --> In 20-20 Design go to the TILE-3 attributes >Variables Tab> Textures> then select Ceramic texture (see below) click on the grey rectangle on the right.
Step 4 -->Import the image file using the Custom Material wizard tool
Click on the "Wizard" button then "next" and browse to select the previously created image file.
Step 5 --> Follow the steps of the Custom material Wizard. Skip the Rotate function. In the second pop up screen (Crop) **Make sure the imported image is complete like in the following picture.
Click next on the following functions "Brightness" and "Blend".
Step 6 --> Scale the image to the "real life size". In the Scale function enter the real size the object will be. In this case the space occupied by the backsplash is 60" wide so 60 should be typed in the Scale field.
Note: the imported image file can only be a square. If the the size of the object in the design is a rectangle or the size is smaller than the scaled image, take into account that the upper portion and the left portion will be truncated.
End result
**Note : The TILE-3 item is 50" high and the bottom part of it is hidden behind the stove, this is to allow the center of the image the arched part to be aligned at the correct location.

I do the same thing, only use the arched generic window. I apply desired textures to it. It gives it more of a raised tile texture. More 3D. I like what you've done though. The biggest problem I have with 2020 is the texture scaling. I used to use 3D Max, where you simply raise and lower the scale level. Maybe future versions will implement this. My mouth to God's ear :)
